Reinforcing Mesh Ordering Guide: Square, Rectangular & Trench

Compare JCM mesh model references and prepare a reinforcing mesh enquiry with sheet sizes, quantities, packing requirements and destination details.

For a useful reinforcing mesh quotation, start with the model schedule in the project documents. A product name such as “rectangular mesh” identifies a family; the full model, sheet size and quantity identify the item to be priced.

Match the mesh family to the schedule

The JCM catalogue separates square, rectangular, trench and utility mesh. Use the specified family and model rather than choosing a substitute by appearance or approximate weight. The catalogue is a procurement reference, not a reinforcement design.

  • Square mesh: SL62, SL72, SL82, SL92, SL102 and SL81, listed in 6.0 × 2.4 m sheets.
  • Rectangular mesh: RL818, RL918, RL1018, RL1118 and RL1218, listed in 6.0 × 2.4 m sheets.
  • Trench mesh: L11TM3, L11TM4, L12TM3 and L12TM4, listed in 6.0 m lengths. Include the specified width.
  • Utility mesh: SL72UTE, listed in a 4.0 × 2.0 m sheet format.

Ordering rectangular reinforcing mesh

Quote the complete RL model and the number of sheets. Where a drawing specifies reinforcement direction, wire spacing, diameter, laps or cut pieces, include that drawing and revision. Do not infer those requirements from the photograph or treat one RL model as interchangeable with another.

The rectangular mesh specification table lists approximate sheet weights and indicative loading for five models. Use these figures for comparison; ask for the packing and loading plan for your actual order mix.

Separate quantities from shipping assumptions

State whether each quantity is in sheets, pieces or tonnes. For a mixed order, list every model separately. Provide the destination country and port, bundle preferences, unloading constraints and required arrival timing. A catalogue container quantity is not a guaranteed shipment quantity.

Check documentation before confirming supply

Attach the purchaser specification and identify any required material certificates, test records, certification scope or bundle traceability. Documentation needs to cover the exact product and production source being quoted. For enquiries outside Australia, state the destination requirements explicitly rather than assuming the catalogue models are equivalent.

Copyable enquiry checklist

  • Destination country and port
  • Mesh family and complete model designation
  • Sheet dimensions or length and width
  • Quantity and unit for each model
  • Drawing revision and any cutting requirements
  • Required documentation, packing and timing

Example enquiry format: “Please quote RL918 rectangular reinforcing mesh, 6.0 × 2.4 m sheets, quantity [number] sheets, delivery destination [country/port]. Required documentation: [list]. Required timing: [date]. Drawing revision: [reference].” This is a request format, not an order confirmation.
